No voice replied over the intercom, but a moment later the gate opens in on itself, metal locks clicking as they unlatched. Before you is a small walkway, leading through what appears to be a sculpture garden. While there are no flowers or plantlife, there are several concrete benches strewn throughout the courtyard, and many statues of various creatures form scenes together.
At the end of the walkway is the entrance to the building, which appears to have been left ajar for you. Light spills out from within, cutting a golden swathe across the courtyard floor.

Rajani lingered, taking in the sculptures. They were well-done, to be sure, but certainly nothing compared to the works of art the light-sculptors of Zeltros created for the royal palace. All the same, there was something attractive about their solidness.
Stopping at the door, she peered in, taking in the establishment.

Mal walked up to the door. In the back of his mind, he was concerned that this may be a trap, but on the other side of that coin, he would relish the challenge.
When he arrived at the door, he attempted to look inside, as to not get in Rajani's way.

Kojania walked briskly past the statues and up to the door. She opened the door fully and took a step inside. Looking up first and then all around her, she attempted to familiarize herself with the entry of the building.

Rowan took a careful look around the yard as she walked up the path to the front door, trying to see if there was anything behind or under the statues scattered about the lawn.

As the door swings open, you see a long hallway before you. There are doors on either side of the hallway, but all of them are shut. At the end of the hallway is the source of the light, a brilliantly lit room with comfortable furnishings. The smell of food wafts out towards you, and it smells as though there is a variety of dishes waiting. Along both walls of the hallway there are expensive looking paintings, each depicting a great battle from ages past.
[whisper=parker, jermanie]You see nothing to alarm you, though you do detect dust and cobwebs in the corners and along the ceiling. It is as though this house has not been lived in for a very long time.[/whisper]
[whisper=jenna3, jermanie]You detect nothing hidden or sinister in the courtyard. The statues show signs of wear, as though they are not regularly cared for. There are also traces of animals having been here, claw marks on the stone, droppings in the corners, etc. It is as though the place has fallen into disuse.[/whisper]
[whisper=princeofcups, jermanie]You detect nothing unusual in the place, though it does seem a little worn around the edges after closer examination. You can see a layer of dust and grime covering a great many things, as though the place has not been used or cared for in some time.[/whisper]

Rajani lifted her eyebrows: the interior's clear lack of care was in sharp contrast with the garden and street outside. Trailing her finger along a side-table, she frowned, looking at the thick layer of dust. Very interesting.
Shaking her head slightly, she strode through the hall towards the brightly lit room and the fragrant smells. Reaching the doorway, she kept aware, examining the room beyond.

Mal stepped inside, following shortly behind his companion.
Living pretty lavishly, he thought. Drig must be fairly wealthy, or at least, has good connections.
He approached the door at the end of the hall, and began to walk through.

Kojania walked slowly enough to look at a few of the paintings, trying to see if she recognized any of their depictions as she followed Rajani into the other room. The smell of food was mildly appetizing, but having just eaten, she didn't really care to know what particular food it was

Rowan followed the others inside. Perhaps this residence had once been great, but it now looked like the owner has fallen on hard times. Maybe this Drig was trying to reclaim some of his former glory.
